Act 6: Nü installation by Sümer Erek explores the relationship between the body, nakedness, and systems of social control through drawings, performances, and installations developed from decades of working with live models. Focusing on movement, vulnerability, and the body’s presence within space and time, the exhibition approaches nudity not simply as an aesthetic condition, but as a political, cultural, and emotional one.

Installed within the narrow, semi-ruined setting of Rüstem Bookshop, Act 6: Nü continues the spatial and conceptual language of the Takoz / Wedge series, questioning how fear, shame, censorship, and social norms shape the perception of the exposed body within this geography.

Accompanied by texts from Mete Hatay, Gürgenç Korkmazel, and Cenk Mutluyakalı, the exhibition positions nakedness as a space of confrontation, resistance, fragility, and freedom — inviting viewers to reconsider the politics of looking, exposure, and human presence.
